Altered wood plaque and Masculine LO! (CW Project)

Hello everyone!
Thanks for stopping in:) In this post I will share my Craft Warehouse  assignment…this is #3!
We were given a wooden plaque that measures 18″x9″….pretty big! We also had a paper kit and embellishments from the “Farmhouse” collection made by Crate Paper for a 12×12 LO!  They were very generous and gave us so much for play with! Thanks CP and CW!
So here is my plaque. I knew I wanted to do the crackle finish to it as soon as I saw it!  I will add my video below in which I explain it all at the end, for now, here are the pics!
So my plaque was fun to make! I did a basket weave with the paper and placed that on top of the plaque, then the vinyl on a lace framed light colored paper, this served as a “basket” to set my homemade canned goods in…see the top part…I labeled these little jars that I free handed and cut out of the paper. Love these little things!! Anyhow! I LOVED making this!

Closer pics below:
I really loved making the lace ruffle border to simulate a lacey look!

My LO is of my hubby…he’s adorable! We went o Portland for the weekend at the end of September and he just randomly stopped at this coffee spot on the side of the road in a gorgeous area and bought us coffee (Anna and I):)

I just snapped a few pics and just had to use these 2 for this LO!

Used Tim Holtz kraft resist paper for the base, inked and distressed the edges, then using some color coordinating paper with the greens and reds, I centered them and ripped up the sides so the red would peek through, did a little stitching all around the KR paper, I also stitched around the little circles. One at the top left and a set on the right side right above his picture:) Anyhow, loved making this LO, I was sad to mail it out, so I went and got another set of pics to make one for myself!! cuz I’s luvs him!:)

Here are some close-up’s!

Here is my video!
