“Baby Boy, Footprints” Layout for “The Color Room”!

Hello!

Christmas is literally around the corner and I’m making things as gifts….I wish I was a genie right now though! LOL  I’m not sure if I’ll make it all in time, but better late then never….so I’m gonna stick by that! 🙂

Let’s get into today’s project. This is a layout I made for my niece Alissa and her fiance Michael:) They had a baby boy earlier this year and he’s ADORABLE!!! He really is!!! I noticed that in almost every picture I see of him or have taken, he’s got his arms in a boxing position and he’s always puckering! I guess he’s a lil’ lover and a fighter right?! lol … TOO CUTE!!

So I got the announcement card/photo combo in the mail then sometime later, saw the release of a new color palette and sketch from “The Color Room”! It was perfect!! So, I started on it at a friends house…we had a girls cropping weekend but didn’t finish it! Well, you know, when you get together with girlfriends to crop, you’re so busy laughing and eating and watching movies…..who can really finish a project I ask??!! Well, really?? lol  So, I had it in mind to finish it later, and now is later and I’m all done!

Here’s past palette #153 with the sketch that came with it!  If you haven’t visited the site you should because you’re missing out on some awesome fun, inspiration and prizes!! We’re all done for 2013, but there’s awesome fun changes coming for 2014….resuming February 28!! I’ll let you all know when it’s starting up again. It’s gonna hit the ground runnin’!!

I loved the sketch and the colors!!! It was perfect timing. You know you can changed it up a bit right?? you can! I really loved it, so I stayed within the sketch layout pretty much! Here’s my LO!

It came out just how I pictured it in my head!! A soft masculine feel with not a flower in sight! Just my preference really but as hard as it is to not add flowers to everything….it really wasn’t hard with this LO 🙂

Ah this face and those lips……ooohhhhh!!!! I love you Mikey!!

The baby birds were a perfect touch….it just confirmed the sweet baby mood of the layout!

What a handsome little guy! MUAH!!! 🙂

*Here’s my video tutorial as I finished up my LO! I hope you enjoy it! Thanks:)
