Fall and Christmas projects using “Jillibean Soup”

Hey everyone!

I’m sharing my design team projects I finished up yesterday! These projects are using new paper collections by Jillibean Soup called “Apple Cheddar” and “Christmas Eve Chowder”! Very cute papers!

We were given 1 of each 6×6 paper pads with coordinating label stickers and a 12×12 die cut sheet from each set. JBS also has this corrugated cardboard alphas with numbers and characters, so we got that with a 12×12 sheet of plain corrugated cardboard. A few weeks ago we got a welcome package with all kinds of goodies to dig out and use if we wanted on future assignments, so I was in that basket with these!

This was a challenge for me, I don’t normally go to this style of papers to play with and create alterable items with. I love vintage and shabby style papers and embellishments and this was a total opposite! What I did love was the challenge and opportunity to try to work with them and create something fun!

We were assigned to create 1 12×12 LO and a card using the “Apple Cheddar” paper collection which had a “Harvestful” theme to it wit the apples and colors throughout the collection!

I won’t be explaining much on this post since I made a video with these collections, please feel free to email me with questions. If you leave questions below, please leave your email address so I can reply back.

I posted the video below for my non you-tuber friends can watch, enjoy!!

(I have a new watermark on my pics, still figuring it out. just fyi so you don’t think it’s part of the project)

Here is the LO!

Here is my card using the same “Apple Cheddar” paper line! Again, this was Fall theme with apples, harvest and the colors, which I loved!! I think I still had my “An ABC Primer” Leaf album in my head! 🙂

Notice the teeny gnome between the trees on the left bottom of the card?…:)
I made this pencil to enhance the theme! This was a fun embellishment to make…oh, and the sun was fun too!!:)
Our next set of assignments was to use the “Christmas Eve Chowder” paper! We are to create 4 cards, 1st card is to have a picture on it, 2nd is to be a gift card holder, 3rd is to be very simple and easily re-created for a mass mailing, 4rth is an elaborate card…as in a card that took time to make and that you would give to a close friend or family member.
So here is card #1
 Card #2
This is my favorite of the 4. It’s a “Matchbook” style….I
even added a dark brown strip of the designer paper
to simulate where you strike your match on:)
The flap tucks behind the sentiment label. I also placed a journaling
die cut piece on the inside where the gift card is for a short note!
Card #3
Card #4
(Not sure if this is elaborate but I did spend some time making it and I would for sure give it to my mom…lol….)

Here is the video:

I have links to “The Craft Warehouse off to the left side of my blog and links to all the designers on that team there too, You really should see what they do!! Awesome!!

Here is a link to CW!! You will find links to our blog and store locations!!:)

Well, that’s it! It was a hard couple of weeks but I loved the challenge of using a designer paper collection I am not used to. I guess if I could tell you 1 thing to inspire, it would be….don’t let a different style scare you, I will gaurantee that you will grow creatively!

Have a great week! xo, Jules:)
