Giving a pair of skates a new look!!

Hello crafters!

In my last video I shared a fun haul of all crafty things and one of those items was a pair of bright pink ceramic skates! I think they may be used for little pots for succulents…?… I don’t really know but they could’ve been. These little skates were bright and CHUNKY!! They’re SO dang cute that I had to have a pair. The cool thing is that you can’t really tell of a right or left skate but at $3 per skate I bought them and painted them in a retro boho color scheme I found somewhere on the net!

So…how close to the color palette do you think I got!??

Enjoy today’s video!

I had so much fun painting ceramics when I was a kid. There was a ceramics shop a few blocks from my house and I remember that the owner always let me use his acrylic paints and I would be able to go almost everyday after school for a while to spend an hour or so just painting the pieces I bought. I think I would only pay like $1 or so each for small pieces. It’s been a while since I painted ceramics…not sure why I don’t do it more often!

Some after shots. Aren’t they adorable?!!

I’ve since found a ceramic cat that is themed in a “Dia de Los Muertos” design! That’ll be fun!! Anyways….
