Today is a project share that I did last year for Christmas. I know it’s a little late but I really had no time to post it until now…..please forgive my tardiness, but at least you can make similar ornaments for this year. Shabby Chic design doesn’t go away…I don’t think it ever will either! LOL

I LOVED them on my tree!!

You know, because of personal stuff my family and I have gone through over the last several years, we’ve rented homes for way too long and I hadn’t decorated for my favorite holiday seasons….made me sad but this is the 1st time I’ve put up a tree in about 5-6 years and I was just so happy about it…which is why I made these to begin with! I’m happy to say that we are house hunting now and hope to have our own home within the next 4 months…..then, I can get back to decorating my house and doing whatever I WANT! LOL! 🙂
I made some trees out of some tomato cages, (yes, TOMATO CAGES!) last year for my friends antique shop and so this year, I got to use them on my porch which I loved! It wasn’t too much, but just enough to make me smile:)
They were wrapped with pine and grapevine garlands then some strings of white lights!! I also left the muslin bows at the tops of the trees from last year, they still look great! I’m posting the video tutorial here below just in case you would like to make some for your own decor, I hope you’ll enjoy it.
I have these just hanging out by my porch!

Of course they can be filled in a bit but at the time I was in LOVE with them. I’ll be pulling these out every year and customizing them to fit my theme and colors for that year too!
Thanks for stopping by to see my project!
Have a great 2015 you guys!

Both your ornaments and the trees are so gorgeous Jules, I areally love them all, soooooooooo beautiful in every little detail. Just don´t think, we can get these tomato cages here anywhere, as I´ve never seen anything like it here anywhere, but maybe we can make some ourself out of some thick wires. That must be a project for hubby, who´s always working with ironwires in his work in a concretefactory he he, so saved this vieo too for him to see too ha ha.
Thanks again for sharing these great ideas, and have a wonderful day sweet lady.
This was a great tutorial! Loved seeing how to make a shabbychic Christmas tree. xxx Love, Laurie
Oh Jules! I LOVE your detail. Oh mercy! You did a beautiful job and make it looks so easy. Not all of us have your gifts. You are amazing!!!
Thank you so much, these ornaments give us so many new possibilities.
Love your Shabby Cic Christmas tree and tutorial!
Love your ornament! I may have to try and make me some if not this year for next year! I have made some of those tomato cage trees also! They are cute when all lit up! I don't do any decorating outside where I live now since we rent a townhouse and there is no place to do any decorating. I just stick to the inside! That's about all I can handle anyway these days! God bless and Hope you have a Merry Christmas!
I love your Christmas ornaments, every one of them! I love your blog background too. Where did you get it from please? I cant seem to make my blog look at all nice. lol
