Prima’s “Grungy Flower Pot” with handmade flowers!
Hello and welcome to my blog!!
I’ve got a grungy project to share with you today:) Click the button below to watch the breakdown of this project. Detailed pictures at the end of the post!
This is my “Grungy Flower Pot” I made for round #2 of the Discount Paper Crafts design challenge! The pot I made has handmade grungy flowers in it and I will be sharing the tutorial on it in the next post! It was fun and easy to make!!:)
Now, the theme was “Girly Grunge”. The techniques we were to use were 2 types of distressing. They were Ink distressing and paper roughing/distressing, I love distressing!!
Lets first start with some the items in my package. The eggs I covered in old book paper that I later cut to 1/3 and 2/3 to have them look like they were mushrooms and flower centers!! The blue pail I cut, split and folded/rolled out to look like is was grunged and damaged. Can you find the alligator in my pot?? LOL I handmade paper flowers to go in the pot and did a grungy distressed look on them, mainly the creases which is an effect I LOVE!! The bouquet rested in the pot and the other 2 laid in the pot as if they had fallen, you’ll see in one of the pictured that they are supported by 2 of the gears in my package!
If you would like to see the contents of it just click on the button below.
Ok, here we go!!

The project itself was very dark and grungy but floral and girly. This was challenging but super fun too!

WAUW what an awesome project Jules. I absolutely love it. The video is really great and explains everything sooo well, and the pail is really totally over the top gorgeous and sooo cool. And I also just love your mutant butterfly a lot. I love butterflies all the times, but this is soo cool. Thanks so much for sharing all this with us here hun. A shame you didn´t make it to the last round, cause you sure deserved that, but ofcause we can´t discuss if people like something else tha we do, and you sure did a wonderful job and well done anyway to get this far, that´s for sure.
Looking forward to see lots more of this kind from you soon again hun.

Hola Cathy-Lynn!! lol:) Thanks for that! You're way sweet to me! I LOVED those mushroooms, it was a happy mistake really, I thought of the flower centers first, cut the egg, then when I saw the other piece, it looked like a mushroom and since I hadn't done anything with the bolt and eye screw….it hit me…."Mushrooms"!!! funny how things like that happen right? Thanks so much hon! Hugs, Jules:)
HAHAHAHAH!!!!! Carol, you're so funny! I did check…the mushrooms looked nibbled on!!! LOL..Thanks honey!!:) xo, Jules:)
