Shabby Burlap, Doily and Lace Banner!!
Just sharing a banner I made for my studio:) Recently I made a “SALE” banner for my friend Paula’s store at “Elm Street Antiques” to put in a corner with items that are 30% off!! (If you live near or are passing by Hermiston, Oregon sometime you are welcome to stop by and you’ll find it a treat to walk into this place!).
It was very simple……I think the only complicated thing was cutting the letters out by hand:) After gluing them down, I had wished I would have stitched it, but I’m not that good at hand stitching so it’s really ok! I used some fabric strips, my handmade tea-stained muslin and some of my laces from my shop!
Using left over burlap, fabric and laces I decided to create a banner for me….I’ve always wanted to make one for the studio, so I did!! Here’s the video of my sharing it then pictures to follow!
Thanks for watching! 🙂
I really love the white, creams, browns and pops of pinks…..it’s so shabby chic and adding the textures of the laces and doilies and then cardboard…I think make great layers of texture! I hope it inspires you to create! Here’s my shabby banner!!:)
I hope you enjoyed this project! I’m a crafty girl so I always have fun making things!
