The Jule Box Studios

"Making memories and celebrating moments with pretty crafty things!"

Hello everyone!
This project is my Wild Orchid Crafts November DT challenge. It is being posted late due to some technical issues I’ve been having, so I apologize…I also apologize that I don’t have the video tutorial on it…the hard drive on my MAC gave out and I lost everything including the clips of my making it and a few other videos:(  It’s getting replaced so I’ll be on another computer with a different movie editing program for a little while. Needless to say, I’m a little sad, but the projects must go on! 🙂
Now to share my project! Our challenge was to create a recipe box….I stayed in the recipe theme, but made a little festive booklet instead!! So, I used 6 coffee sleeves from Starbucks and did a white wash to them along with edging them with gesso. I then used some Graphic 45 paper for the pops of color then embellished with tons of Wild Orchid Crafts products
(some are now discontinued, my apologies but I gotta use what I have)!
Links to most items will be listed after the pictures below and
I’ll add other products I used as well!

For those of you who don’t know what these sleeves look like,
here it is before I altered them!!

Close up of the glitter!
Close up of this cute reindeer!
I used 7 Gypsies cable rings, these are very cool to use and look it too!
The inside pages are basically the same except that
I changed the LO of the elements:)
The backsides of the sleeves have a paper doily or 1/2 heart
with flowers and flourishes…then the fronts
of the pages have an oval matte (cut from G45 paper) then
a spellbinders die cut from white card stock where I did a stamped
collage on them of Christmas images then put up on dimensional foam stickers, lace behind it, a seam binding bow and poinsettias I put together!
Here’s the 2nd page..
last page…
Close up’s of the inside:
From the internet I found several recipe’s of Starbucks Coffees
and printed them off onto white card stock.
I printed a few I’ve tasted and some I was wanting to try!
I added the titles on a banner die and
adhered them to the front of the booklet and on tabs
so I can see them and find them without
pulling them all out.
 Here’s the inside!
Close ups:)
