Home Decor: Shabby Pots!
Some of you might know that I’ve recently moved and sadly I’m not all done unpacking! I think it’s because I know we’re not gonna be here forever….but anyhow, I want to make this place as homey and as comfortable as I can!
I’m in love with plants and flowers and I just purchased an”African Violet” and I wanted to display it on my coffee table in a terracotta pot along with a little succulent I bought a few days prior! So I bought a couple of terracotta pots with saucers and wanted to give them a shabby look!!
There weren’t many Terracotta pots at my Walmart, I assume it’s because it’s mid Summer and the “gardening” season is about over. I assume there won’t be many at the Home Improvement stores either, but if you find some, give this a try, it’s so easy and so pretty!!
For Prima embellishments like these numeral plaques called “Door Signs”, you can use any kind by gluing them on or if they have holes you can thread them and tie them on. I no longer have these available at my shop.
EDITED: 7.12.22 – One last thing I wanted to mention. These pots can be sealed if you absolutely wanted to. I never sealed my pots and the chalk paint does peel with time. It doesn’t bother me at all, I can always repaint them if I wanna….but right now, I don’t wanna! *wink
Thanks for stopping by! Enjoy the rest of your Summer!! xo, Jules
