“Sweet” Prima Tea Thyme 12×12 Layout!

Hello everyone!

I have a 12×12 layout to share with you guys today! This is my LO that I’m submitting for the Prima BAP (Build A Page) for the month of October! It’s my first time submitting a project to Prima!

I used their new “Tea Thyme” paper collection from the
6×6 pad and some coordinating embellishments.
I also used some of the embellishments from the “Nature’s Garden” and flowers from older lines that I’ve had in my stash. Of course I also grabbed some of the BEAUTIFUL Wild Orchid Crafts flowers!!!

I really enjoyed stepping out of my comfort zone with a little bit of mixed media…I never really do mixed media, but the collage and use of gesso and studio matte medium was something new I grabbed for this project!  One of the things I really loved about this project is that I made my own embellishment (a heart frame for the girls’ picture)…I made a framed metal heart that I wrapped some strips of muslin around it and added gesso to it so it would have a shabby look to it! I didn’t share it in the video because it was getting to be pretty long! Anyhow….here’s the LO I made!

Here’s the video with the tutorial!

You’ll find a product list and some links to find them at the very end, thanks so much!

I used a 2-3 year old photo of my beautiful Anna and my beautiful niece Alissa! We went to L.A. to visit and headed out for a family day at the beach…I think it was at the Hermosa Beach! There was a very good seafood restaurant there and so we stopped to eat! The girls were just hanging out and Alissa grabbed Anna by the neck to hug her!
I’m so glad I snap pics at odd times…I can capture moments just like this one! These girls were the last 2 born to our family and we are so blessed to have them! Did you know that Anna was older, but Alissa can throw her! LOL They are only 2 weeks apart, that means Lisa and I were pregnant at the same time and I’m so glad that memory was created too! What a cool thing for sisters to be pregnant together right…and with girls!! awwww:)
They were about 15 in this photo:)

I hope you enjoyed this layout as much as I did! I tried to enclose lots of close up pics to share the detail! This was a fun LO to make and I’m glad I had a couple days to make it for myself!

Please let me know if you have any questions….I do try to mention everything in the video….this is why they are always a tad bit long, but I would rather that that leave you guessing, plus I love sharing what I know for those who are learning
